Immunological and serological methods can detect the antibodies specific to a particular infection in serum or antigen in different body tissues or excretions or secretions. The animal diseases have been diagnosed by immunological and serological test since very long. The antibodies are produced in animal body as a result of body defense responses against the causative agents. However, detection of antibodies in serum is not sufficient to conclude diagnosis of animal’s disease.
