Dr. Xiangyang Miao is a Professor at Institute of Animal Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Beijing. He performed his doctoral studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at College of Biological Sciences, China Agricultural University. He also worked as a visiting professor at University of Guelph, Canada, Harvard University, University of California, Davis, and University of Maryland, USA. He is a principal investigator and academic leader which successively lead more than 30 projects. His research area is molecular and developmental biology, functional genomics, and molecular breeding. His research interests currently focus on developmental biology, genomics, epigenomics, high throughput sequencing, bioinformatics and molecular biology. He is an evaluation expert in National Natural Science Foundation of China, The National Scholarship Fund, Beijing Natural Science Foundation, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Beijing Science and Technology Award, Beijing Senior Professional Title, The National Key Research and Development Program of China, China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center, European Commission Horizon, Times Higher Education World University Rankings, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Anhui Science and Technology Project, Jiangsu Science and Technology Consultation etc. He is an associate Editor for Frontiers in Endocrinology, Frontiers in Physiology, Frontiers in Genetics, Frontiers in Veterinary Science and BMC Veterinary Research, etc. He is an outstanding expert of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed papers, including papers in Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology, Reproduction, Scientific Reports, Frontiers in Physiology, Gene, Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology, Animal Reproduction Science etc. Prof. Miao has authored or co-authored English monograph and multiple Chinese volumes. He has also obtained numerous patents, both domestically and internationally. He has also applied for many national invention patents.
