    Bovine Genital Campylobacteriosis - A Review

    Bovine genital campylobacteriosis (BGC) is a true venereal disease of cattle. This disease results in infertility, embryonic and fetal death, metritis, salpingitis, pyometra, and abortion in cattle, and sheep and goats as well. The causal agent of BGC, is Campylobacter fetus. This organism is found worldwide and causes significant economic losses in endemic areas where appropriate management has not been instituted.
